Sooooo stunning. A beautiful face is a million watts bright. Shooting Jess at top of the world on her wedding day was a real moment worth pausing for.

I honestly cannot with this family right here! I am really only taking a few clients for family photos this year, it’s a lot of work wrangling other people’s littles but I am feeling completely inspired by my shoot with Sarah’s family last weekend. Zero fighting, so much love, when the baby would stumble and fall we all (including her) busted up laughing. Dude how did we get so lucky? It made it easy to get these moments!!!! Tell me all of your secrets Sarah these attitudes were on point! And these images are winning my heart!

Taking a moment to do a few formal portraits of the bride. Something I loved about Emilee is that she kept her glasses on throughout the whole wedding. I always feel like it's the brides who don't completely transform their style on their wedding day who get it. They will look back and feel like the most beautiful versions of themselves.

I like to establish a color story when I shoot a wedding. For Grant and Emilee's wedding clean lines and white walls were the perfect way to accentuate the gorgeous villa they had rented in Cabo. Picking a color story and going with it helps to unify the collection of photographs once your edits are done.

The challenge sometimes can be in getting the right moment and being patient. Waiting for a sea of tourists to disappear around my frame; I stood patiently waiting and the light gods provided! Shooting in SF city hall can be difficult to maneuver around people. But it sure is a beautiful building and worth the fuss!

Prepare for a wild story that gives me goosebumps. My husband’s grandma Vava was a real force. She stood six feet tall, she beat cancer, she had a massive smile, and let’s say I met her on a family trip where she took a beer bong like a champ to make her daughter feel like a wuss. She left this earth years ago but she showed up for her youngest grandchild Jac Jac on her wedding day. See Vav always kept a penny in her shoe. And on Jacs wedding day; from an unopened box of earrings that Jac had ordered from Etsy, were the earrings but also... an old freaking penny that had come boxed under the earrings! What the whattttt!?!?! I mean I can’t deny the power of the universe sometimes. Less is usually more. Wouldn't you other photographer agree. I love a big awesome wedding but there is something inexplicably perfect about an elopement.
